This is the defining difference. Its patented Infinity Loop design threads the vehicle's seatbelt through the harness, creating three points of contact that distribute and absorb crash forces across a padded vest. The Clickit Sport uses a broad, cushioned vest that wraps around the dog's torso, distributing pressure evenly. Dogs generally tolerate it well on long drives. The Kurgo tether adds no comfort of its own — your dog's comfort depends entirely on whatever walking harness you pair it with. That said, the tether's lighter weight and simpler design mean less material on the dog, which some dogs prefer in hot weather. The Clickit Sport is not suited for sighthound breeds (Greyhounds, Whippets, etc.) due to their chest shape.

The Kurgo tether wins on simplicity. Clip the carabiner to your dog's harness, buckle the other end into the seatbelt receiver, adjust the length — done in seconds. The Clickit Sport requires threading the vehicle's seatbelt through the harness's Infinity Loop, which takes a bit of practice to learn. Once you've done it a few times, it becomes routine, but the first few uses can feel fiddly. The swivel carabiner on the Kurgo also prevents the tether from twisting during the ride.
